How to reach local decision makers - a workshop for Black and Minority Ethnic Women

This workshop aims to give you an understanding of how the decision making structures within Birmingham work and how ordinary women can get involved.

This workshop is aimed at BME women and their groups across Birmingham. Using a variety of interactive learning tools, the workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Structures and resources to help you get involved
  • Power and influence within Birmingham
  • How to influence decisions that affect your daily life
  • How to get involved and really make a difference


The workshop will be delivered by Paul Slatter who has worked within Birmingham's voluntary sector for many years.

The workshop finishes at 13.30pm but there will be some networking from 13.30pm to 14.00pm.
